Makhdoom Hussain has been working as Consultant, HarvestPlus-Pakistan since 2018. He received his PhD degree from GCU Faisalabad on Doubled Haploid Production in Triticum Aestivum L. using wheat x maize crossing for instant breeding of wheat cultivars and M.SC (Hons.) from the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, Pakistan. He has also been working as Director, Nutritious Agri. Future Pvt. Ltd since 2022. He spent most of his career as a lead breeder at Ayub Agricultural Research Institute, Faisalabad, Pakistan as Director Oilseeds and Director Wheat before joining HarvestPlus team in 2018. He has the extensive experience of research and coordination with the provincial, national and international research centres. He has run various national and international Agriculture Development and CGS research projects.
